- Examine the interdisciplinary structure and ethical implications of integrating theology with the natural sciences in the ongoing dialogue between science and religion.
- Outline the political and strategic implications for churches, focusing on advocacy for marginalized communities and the integrity of the lifeworld.
Eligibility
-
- Master of Arts (MA) or Master of Divinity (M. Div), preferably in theology or religious studies.
- Demonstrated understanding of public engagement and leadership experience in justice and the common good.
- Endorsement from a church or church-related organization.
Program Overview
The International Public Theology in Forum-Center is an academic and educational institution affiliated with the Global Network for Public Theology. It is a religious organization approved by the State of California, dedicated to academic advancement and promoting the public relevance of the church.
Distinguished professors from several theological seminaries in the United States as well as in Germany serve on its advisory board. Representing Europe is Professor Heinrich Bedford-Strohm, a prominent theologian and Chair of the World Council of Churches. Representing the United States is Professor Craig Nessan, who serves as the American chair.
Courses are conducted online via YouTube or Zoom. Upon completion of four courses (each equivalent to 3 credit hours), delivered in a bilingual format, participants will be awarded a certificate. Confirmation of course completion will also be sent in the form of a recommendation letter to the participating seminaries listed below.

Korean-German Bilingual Certificate Program
The program is conducted using the same model as the English Bilingual Program and includes recommendations to the Faculty of Theology at Ruhr University Bochum in Germany. It is related to and introduced through the German government foundation Politische Bildung, focusing on political theory and democratic education.

International Public Theology in Forum-Center는 공공신학을 위한 글로벌 네트워크 (Global Network for Public Theology)에 소속된 연구및 교육기관이며 캘리포니아 주정부에 의해 인가된 포럼과 학문증진과 교회의 공공성을 위한 기관입니다. 미국의 여러 신학대학원의 저명한 교수들이 위원으로 관여하고 있으며, 유럽을 대표하는 역할은 하인리히 베드포드 스트롬 교수 (세계 교회협의회 의장 및 독일 개신교 의장)가, 미국을 대표하는 의장은 크랙 네산교수 (와트버그 신학 대학원)가 관여하고 있습니다.
수업은 온라인과 유트브 또는 줌으로 행해집니다. 4과목 (3시간)을 bilingual 방식으로 수료하면 certificate 이 발급되고, 4과목에 대한 확인서가 아래의 신학교로 추천서 형식으로 제출됩니다.
